Laser Dentistry
Laser technology has revolutionized dentistry with treatments that are faster, more effective and more satisfying to patients than ever before. And they can be used for an amazing array of treatments – from filling teeth to dental surgery, and plenty in between.
Fillings
The LightWalker™ laser allows Dr. Cuprill to prepare your tooth for a filling with less need for anesthesia and none of the vibration or noise from a dental drill. Patients experience maximum satisfaction and comfort. Even decay below the gumline can be removed without bleeding, meaning less pain and recovery time!
Periodontal Therapy
Fotona’s TwinLight® Periodontal Treatment™ is a comprehensive and minimally invasive therapy for gum disease, creating optimal conditions for healing. Laser treatment also may help prevent infection and reduce the depth of the “pockets” where harmful bacteria love to be.
The laser gently disinfects and evaporates diseased tissues from around each tooth and inside the pockets, giving the tissues a chance to heal. The procedure is gentle and painless; and recovery time is quicker.
While surgery may still be indicated in cases of severe gum disease, laser therapy is a much more conservative, effective, and comfortable option for light to moderate cases.
Oral Surgery
Dr. Cuprill incorporates lasers into many surgical treatments, including thoroughly cleaning the surgical site and underlying bone after extractions to prevent the formation of cavitations. With lasers, treatment times are shorter and sutures are rarely needed. Because of the laser’s disinfection effects, healing is faster with fewer postoperative complications.

Snoring & Sleep Apnea Solutions
Snoring is the sound of a partly blocked airway. With the Nightlase™ procedure, we can widen the airway by using a laser to renature and restructure collagen around it. No anesthetic is needed, and there’s no post-operative pain.
The treatment requires just three 20-minute visits over the course of 6 weeks, and the effects have been found to last for a year or more before retreatment is needed. And it can be used in conjunction with CPAP or oral appliance therapy that’s been prescribed for obstructive sleep apnea.
Our patients – and their sleeping partners! – are grateful to regain a good night’s sleep.
Facial Aesthetics
Dentists are experts in facial anatomy and musculature. So who better to provide laser facial treatments that can complement your natural – or your cosmetically enhanced or reconstructed – smile?
There are two non-surgical, non-invasive treatments we offer here at Orlando Holistic Dental Studio, Smoothlase™ and Liplase™.
Smoothlase is a terrific option for smoothing out lines and wrinkles around your mouth. There are no shots, no fillers, no pain. Instead, we use gentle laser energy to tighten the collagen in your skin. And because it’s all done inside your mouth, there’s no redness following treatment – just skin rejuvenated to optimize its youthful appearance.
Liplase is also done inside the mouth, with no injections or anesthetics needed. The laser is used to stimulate collagen production, filling and plumping your lips naturally. Your body does the work. The laser just tells it how.
